RESCUE • REHABILITATE • REHOME
Submit an adoption application. Our available cats can be found under the "adopt" tab. Vet references are mandatory. If you do not currently have a veterinarian, please list the clinic you intend to use. If you do not have a veterinarian, you will be required to scheduled a new-patient appointment within 14 days of adoption. Please note that applying for a cat does not guarantee that you will be selected to adopt him/her, even if you are the only applicant. Furry Felines reserves the right to deny any applicant we feel may not be an ideal match for our cat(s). You must be 21+ to adopt a cat.
Our volunteers will review your application and complete your vet/landlord references. Applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. Once all applications have been reviewed, we will select the best match for the cat. You should expect to hear from us within 7 days.
Following approval, you have the opportunity to schedule a meet & greet with the cat that you applied for.
Before you bring your new kitty home, you will need to gather supplies and set up an acclimation room. This space should include a litter box, food and water, toys, and a comfy place to sleep. The cat will remain in this room until they are comfortable with you and their new environment (typically less than 2 weeks). Your other pets should not have access to this area until the acclimation process is complete.
Congratulations, you have a new furry best friend! We'll make things official with an adoption contract. His/her adoption fee is due at this time. You will receive copies of any records pertaining to your new kitty, including his/her complete medical history.
If you do not have a current veterinarian and/or you adopted a kitten under 24 weeks of age, you will be required to forward vet appointment records to Furry Felines. If applicable, details will be discussed prior to adoption.
ADOPTION FEES COVER THE COST OF: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV testing, microchipping, flea treatment and deworming
